We're Here To Cycle

North Devon Wheelers is a friendly road cycling club catering for all levels of ability. So whether you are looking to improve your group riding skills, get fit, train for a big event, or just looking to meet fellow minded people, then the "Wheelers" could be the club for you!

We are friendly and approachable and focus on supporting our members who share a passion of cycling to get the most out of it. We encourage members of all ages to take part in competition at club and national level, or to simply experience the joy and freedom of cycling the beautiful North Devon countryside.

We are a registered Go-ride club and clubmark accredited and offer youth training on Saturday mornings. We also run club rides on Sunday mornings and 10-mile time trial races over the summer months on a Thursday evening. With winter Thursday evening indoors sessions as well.

Join Us For A Ride

Why not join us for a ride? Whether you want to work on your technique or just get out for a spin, we have rides that suit most people. And don’t worry about pace, you’re faster than you think!


  • Meet: Wild Thyme Café, Braunton - 9am
  • Distance: Approx 40 - 50 miles
  • Pace: 18 - 20mph (average)
  • Mood: A relaxed social ride, with an ever-changing route and a coffee stop! A great way get involved with the club.

Thur (Apr-Aug)

  • Meet: Bishops Tawton Methodist Church, EX32 0AL
    Starts 7pm - Register from 6pm
  • Distance: 10 mile time trial
  • Pace: As fast as you can!
  • Mood: Race the clock.
    PLEASE NOTE: No rear LED light or helmet, No race! Refreshments available.

Thur (Oct 4th-Mar)

  • Meet: Bishops Tawton Methodist Church, EX32 0AL. Starts 7pm
    Bring your rollers or turbo trainer but arrive early to help set up.
  • Distance: 1-hour. All abilities welcome
  • Pace: Working on skills, so predominantly steady
  • Mood: Fun winter group skills (in the dry)
